First Post: Our Intro and Purpose

Well, here we go. Welcome to my first blog post, ever. Over several months, I have documented outings with my family that I consider to be pretty cool. We’ve had big and little adventures, all stemming from our love of the outdoors. And now it’s time for me to publish these memories and share it with the rest of you.

A little about us… My name is Emmy and I share this blog with my husband Clayton. We have a very adventurous little boy named Riley James and this blog revolves around the experiences we share with him. The name of this site is inspired by our little guy. Riley means “valiant or courageous” and the saying “Living the Life of Riley” means a carefree life. Combine the two and we came up with The Valiant Life, and it’s a pretty accurate description of our family.

So enjoy the stories and the pictures. We hope to inspire others to be courageous and carefree.
